Glenwood Young Adults
Come and join us! Whether you are a student, in your 20’s, or nearly 20!…
We gather around tables and campfires, encouraging one another, being generous with our creativity, serving the locality, and learning to notice God in the everyday.
Would you like to find out more about what we get up to? Or maybe you’re coming along to a service and would like to meet some of us?! Great stuff, get in touch… email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Here’s a little bit about what we get up to…
Growing in Faith
Jesus is at the centre of all we do. We encourage one another to grow in faith, with opportunities to use the Glenwood Prayer Space throughout the week, termly retreat reflection days across Wales, and topical discussions and courses throughout the year. The Glenwood Sunday Service is at 10.45am each week (once a month we all ‘stick around for lunch…’ after the service too.)
The Ninian Community is a shared house in the locality, with rhythms of: prayer, meals, and hospitality. As well as intentional living, we also run a weekly ‘house group’ which meets for a meal and time of reflection together. Get in touch if you would like to find out more.
There are plenty of opportunities for you to bring your skills and serve within the life of Glenwood. From volunteering on a Sunday team, to joining a week-day activity team or project. We’d love for you to come and get stuck in, whether it’s with: youth & children’s work, food & hospitality, music & tech, sport & activities, admin & communications, creative arts, working with the homeless, or serving in our food poverty provisions. Our charity ‘Going Public’ also runs an internship programme, and offers Kickstart Apprenticeships. For more information, visit: www.goingpublic.org.uk/internship
What about during Covid?
It’s been a strange couple of years with the pandemic. Some of our services and gatherings may be online, as we continue to adapt to the latest Government Guidance.
We’re a bit ‘off the beaten track!’ But we’re still well up for connecting with your uni and peers. So, if you’re a local student and would like to work together with us, we’d love to hear from you!
