Serving & Volunteering
Serving is at the heart of all we do as a church. To that end, Glenwood Faith Community (GFC) is committed to transforming lives and communities. Within GFC we have many volunteering opportunities so whatever your gifts, talents and available time we could use your help!

Sunday Morning – On the front doors / Welcome Team / chairs / tech / worship
Prayer Support – Even if you don’t have time to physically volunteer, please consider whether you can spare time to pray.
Pastoral – The needs of the community are becoming more diverse and the pastoral care team is growing. There are different ‘streams’ of care being developed, including: Elderly (65 and over), Children, Youth, Families, Mental Health, and Physical Health.
Elderly – Friendship team on a Tuesday afternoon, Lunch club, Befriending an elderly person (visiting, practical chores), visiting residential homes with a team.
Youth – There are many different roles within the 11-18 age range from support, to up-front sharing, to leading games etc.
Children – There are many different roles within the 0-11 age range from support, to up-front sharing, to leading games etc.
Social Action – A variety of opportunities in our TAVS Centre to engage, support and empower people in Cardiff addressing issues arising from homelessness, addiction, mental health and isolation including a bakery, choir, evening meals, creative space, night shelter and starter packs.
