Sport is a ministry that breaks through barriers of age, class, culture and religion. Take a group of people who seemingly have nothing in common and introduce a football – sport will bring people together in a way that is quite unique.

Sports people are fast becoming the world’s largest people group – we want to meet these people on the football pitch or netball court and show them the love of God in a real and relevant way. We want to give people a positive experience of sport in a safe, fun and Christian environment.

Our sports initiative, Glenwood Active, consists of a wide range of different sporting activities so you’re bound to find something that suits you. We believe in using our God-given abilities in keeping active as well as looking after our bodies which are, after all, temples of the Holy Spirit! Of course there is a social aspect too and you can often find us in the pub after a sports match!

All our sport and activity programs operate an open door policy and everyone is welcome regardless of age, ability or experience.
