‘Firstfruits’ is a supported housing project, based in Cardiff, for young pregnant vulnerable women and their babies. It was born out of a desire to see these young women having a place to call their home, and consequently have opportunities to make healthy and informed choices for themselves and their babies.

The project came about through the vision of one of Glenwood’s members, Rachel Cooper, who having worked with Cardiff’s Pregnancy Crisis Centre, saw a greater need for security among these young women. The project rents a house, which was lovingly restored and decorated to accommodate the new Mums. The project has been up and running for over a year now and has been very successful.
