The Well Print E-mail

As a kid, didn’t you just hate it when you opened a new toy or unwrapped a box of Lego, only to have a big brother, uncle or father take it off you to start assembling it?

Remember your excitement draining away as they scoured the instructions? All you wanted to do was try it out.

Church can be a bit like that sometimes. Instructions are great and so are older Christians - we should love them and respect them - but sometimes, you can get a little impatient to put things into practice.

The Well won’t leave you feeling like that.

Anything but ‘just another church service,’ The Well is all about putting into practice what you’ve learnt. Here’s how it looks:

Step one:
Take a group of 20 somethings. All kinds of people. Students, married, single, professionals and throw them into a cafe together.

Step two:
Let them worship. They already love it but you can’t really ever sing enough songs - so worshipping for a bit longer can’t hurt.

Step three
: Get a great speaker to deliver a super practical message. It’s like the theory lesson before you get behind the wheel on your first driving lesson.

Step four:
Break off into small groups. Let them find people who are passionate about an issue: homelessness, worship, prayer and fasting, reaching their football team, whatever... give them the keys and say, “Go put it all into practice.”

That’s what the Well is like. That great feeling when someone gives you a bunch of paint buckets and a white washed room and says, ‘Go make a mess.’
